PROGRAM GOALS
Competition
Players of similar commitment, desire and skill placed together in a competitive environment, will not only improve their skills but they will begin to understand the power of the doing the little things to succeed.
Relationships
Successful players surround themselves with others who share their passion. Players need mentors, coaches, friends and people who will inspire and motivate.
Self-Assessment
Before players can arrive at a destination, they must first know where they currently stand. What are their strengths and weaknesses and how do they stack up to the current competition? Self-assessment can be scary, but successful players recognize where they stand and make a plan to get to their destination.
Leadership
Successful players must be leaders. Players can demonstrate leadership by work ethic, communication, and attitude. In these pick-up games, leaders will rise to the top as they commit to bringing their team together on the court. Leaders will also encourage friends and teammates to attend competitive pick-up games.
Development
Successful players must learn to think and react on their own. This is best learned in an environment where players are free to play hard and make mistakes. There is no substitute for quality time spent on the court to develop natural basketball skills.
